Every year, I seem to get at least one perfect hiking day on the Matt Davis/Steep Ravine loop, on the slopes of Marin County’s beautiful Mount Tamalpais. I love this loop because it has a little of everything—Coastal chaparral, Oak woodlands, ocean view bluffs, old-growth Redwood forests.
